Bankruptcy, Respect, and a New Beginning

Do you like to be respected? I do. I don’t know what makes people think that they have to yell at you to get something they want. It is not necessary and for me, I don’t want to work as hard to get it resolved in a quick manner.

July 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Do you like to be respected? I do. I don’t know what makes people think that they have to yell at you to get something they want. It is not necessary and for me, I don’t want to work as hard to get it resolved in a quick manner. I will get it resolved, but no nearly as quick as you may want. Debtors have to understand that we are here to help them. We treat them with respect on the phone, through email, and when they first come through the door. So why do they feel they have to scream and yell at you? This is a good question that I wished I knew an answer to, because it is frustrating when you get a call and someone is yelling at you.

A way to handle this of course is for you to stay calm and try to get the caller to become calm. It would also be good to tell them that you are on their side and want to help them and there is no reason for them to scream and yell. Many people forget that we are not the enemy, but on their side.

Another thing the Debtor should keep in mind is don’t demand things from anyone; this is not going to get your problem solved any faster. You need to treat people with respect, the same respect that you feel you deserve. I don’t expect anything less and I don’t give anything less.

Some people that think about filing bankruptcy think that it’s a bad idea. However, it can be a start to a new beginning where you are able to start all over. Depending on what chapter your filing, is when you can start to rebuild. As soon as we file it is up the the person to start establishing their credit, and by building it up better than before. It makes everything a lot easier, right? Who can get a new car, a house, the refridgerator that is needed…if that person has good credit they can get it in a heart beat, but if that person filed for bankruptcy and never rebuilt then they are the less fortunate. It would be hard to get the items that can be afforded and that are needed. That is why listening to the speech of what to do after the filing of bankruptcy is a very important process. A process that will ensure security throughout the rest of that person’s life.
