By: Forte Creative Media McSweeney, 29, who stands 6’4” and weighs in at 250 pounds, defeated Darrill Schoonover by technical knockout (TKO) in the third round of the TUF 10 Finale on December 5, 2009.The professional fighter started kickboxing at the age of five and entered his first semi-pro fight at the age of 13. At 18 he decided to focus his complete attention on training for MMA and turned professional. He is slated to compete again at UFC 120 on October 16, 2010 in his native London. “Xenergy drinkers are loyal MMA fans, so it’s very exciting for XYIENCE to be able to deliver a special experience like meeting James McSweeney,” says Reuben Rios, XYIENCE’s vice president of U.S. sales, of the upcoming Costco event. “We’re very looking forward to working with the Concord Costco on a very successful event.” Rios seeks a turnout similar to that of a recent appearance in which XYIENCE’s athlete brand ambassador Wanderlei Silva attracted over 500 MMA fans and shoppers to an autograph session at a grocery store located in the Central Coast, Calif. area.
