FHTCC Appoints Experienced Navy Captain as New Council Member

July 20, 2010 - PRLog -- HEATHROW, Fla. – The Florida High Tech Corridor Council (FHTCC) has announced its newest council member, Captain William H. Reuter, IV, USN.  Capt. Reuter serves as the Commanding Officer of the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NASWCTSD) and Naval Support Activity (NSA), Orlando.

Reuter was appointed by Council Co-Chair and University of Central Florida (UCF) President Dr. John Hitt.  As a member, Reuter will use his experience and expertise in the modeling, simulation and training field to advise the Council in its efforts to grow high tech industry and innovation through research, workforce and marketing partnerships.

Reuter earned his bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Florida, his master’s degree and post-master engineering degree in aerospace engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School and his Master’s in Business Administration from IMPAC University.  Reuter is a distinguished Navy pilot having logged more than 3,000 hours of flight time, and has been recognized with numerous awards including the Legion of Merit, two Meritorious Service Medals, two Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medals and the Navy Achievement Medal.  Bringing his talents to the region’s business community, Reuter will also serve as the class chair of the Central Florida Partnership’s program Leadership Orlando Class 80 beginning in September 2010.

Reuter will serve the Council in an advisory role and replaces Captain Harry Robinson, USN, who is retiring.
