Palingenesis: Staley Blows A Fuse Over Internet Gossip

July 20, 2010 - PRLog -- Ted Staley was being interviewed by a local journalist about the upcoming unveiling of his 20' demonstration machine which arrives in Kuala Lumpur in the next few weeks to test various waste streams on behalf of Kualiti Alam, when the conversation took a turn for the worse. The interviewer seemed more interested in questioning Staley on various negative comments made in a spate of forums that have hit the internet in the last couple of weeks.

In an uncharacteristic outburst, Staley ranted , “These spurious comments are tanatmount to libel! The people who make them seem to delight in nonsense and have no knowledge of reality. They hide behind “chat names” to just light the blue touch paper and stand well clear.” Staley then turned on the interviewer saying, “The trouble with people like you (investigative journalists) is that right, wrong or indifferent, your success is measured by how much damage you do!”

After regaining control of his temper, a calmer Staley went on to say, “Look, me and my company are open to any examination. I will gladly welcome any cynic out there to visit my facilities and give them a guided tour with all the bells and whistles.” He then went on to beautifully paraphrase Churchill and Wilde in one sentence saying, “I really believe that cynisism is a deadly evil, it really is the gospel of envy and the creed of ignorance! Oscar Wilde had it right when he said that a cynic is someone that knows the cost of everything and the value of nothing!”

A source close to Staley commented, “Poor Ted, he really is going through it right now, although business couldn't be better but his personal life is in tatters after the recent acrimonious break-up  with his live in lady friend and former partner of many years who is doing everything she can to spread vicious and vile lies and rumours and even tried to take over the company even though she is only a minor stock holder and creditor just as Staley is creditor, but the difference is Staley does have majority control and is firmly at the helm and now this! No wonder he lost his temper!” They say "no fury like a women scorned" is in this case that's an understatement!”
