The Lupus Magazine - Be a Light for Lupus

Aug. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- In the August edition of The Lupus Magazine, Tiffany-Marie Peterson gives us an inspiring look at what it takes to share awareness and inform those who would like to learn more about this unfortunate disease that affects millions worldwide.

Tiffany-Marie Peterson is the founder of 'Friends Against Lupus', which is a Non-Profit Foundation.

" I'm in the process of legalizing in New York City. It's main goal is to spread Lupus Awareness globally in every possible way we can!" explains Peterson.

"At least twice a month, 'Friends Against Lupus' hosts Lupus Awareness Health Booths all around New York City in parks where we can reach both parents and their children. We set up colorful tablecloths with balloons, cupcakes or cookies, a raffle bin & donation box, face-painting, and a wonderful spread of Lupus informational pamphlets and wristbands. Then for the next several hours we hand out pamphlets, answer questions, paint children faces, and share our zest about spreading Lupus Awareness with the community!"

Tiffany-Marie is now a regular writer for The Lupus Magazine.

"We're so proud to have her writing for us," explains Editor Geoff Thomas.

"Tiff really does get the lupus message across, not only for her own organization, also for everyone with lupus in New York and even overseas."
