Action Catamarans Sets Longer Sails for Summer

Aug. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- Action Catamarans, a Miami boat rental company, is offering clients an extra hour of sailing onboard its 45-foot Shuttleworth catamaran The Beast now through September 30. Typical half-day sails run for four hours and full-day sails run for seven; but, Action Catamarans’ Captain Julian Rubio wants clients onboard the catamaran charter to experience South Florida waters to the fullest.

“South Florida is known for the great weather,” says Rubio. “And we want clients to engage in all the water activities available to them at this time of year.”

Clients of Action Catamarans come from all parts of the world to host private events out on South Florida waters, including corporate functions, family gatherings and bachelorette parties. Still, Rubio hopes that the added sailing time will allow groups to further appreciate nature and experience activities along Biscayne Bay, which is home to distinct ecosystems and supports various species of wildlife.

“It’s not uncommon to see a pod of dolphins or manatees when you’re out sailing,” says Rubio, who has seen clients’ excitement during such encounters.

To further experience sea life, Action Catamarans also provides clients with snorkel gear to catch glimpse of fish varieties and reef plants. Other kid-friendly water activities include tubing, where clients are swiftly pulled in a rubber donut by The Mini-Beast, a 13-foot dinghy.

“We want to encourage people and give them the opportunity to visit such places like the mangroves, swim the sandbars or see wildlife first hand while onboard no matter the occasion,” says Rubio.
