It is true that most defects in installation become apparant within the first two years after installation, there are additional conditions such as "nail pops" (nails that are not driven flush with the shingles) that can take more than five years to manifest themselves by "popping" a hole through the shingle above it. That would be long after the 2-year warranty of the other roofer had expired.

Arrington also avoids "nail pops" by doing things the old fashioned way. They hand nail every shingle to ensure an exact installation every time.
