SC Dodge Dealer Announces New Trim for 2011 Heavy Duty Lineup

Aug. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- South Carolina Dodge dealership Dodge of Columbia has announced that the Ram Truck Brand will be introducing truck drivers to a new feature package available as a trim, the Ram Outdoorsman, designed for the outdoor enthusiasts who drive Ram trucks.  This trim will be introduced with the 2011 lineup of Heavy Duty Dodge Ram trucks.

Dodge conducted a survey to see just who was driving their trucks, and among those polled, 62 percent of Dodge fullsize pickup truck owners hunt, fish or camp.

“We asked Ram Truck customers -- boaters, campers, fishing enthusiasts and hunters -- what features would they like to see in a truck,” said Fred Diaz, President and CEO – Ram Truck Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. “They answered ‘more capability, more room for my gear and ready to hit the trail. And make it affordable.'”

As a response, Dodge’s Ram Outdoorsman takes different hardware used by hunters, fishermen, campers and boaters and puts it into one convenient package perfectly designed for the outdoorsman.  Features of the Ram Outdoorsman include trailer-towing upgrades, off-roading upgrades, interior and exterior conveniences, lighting enhancements, all-terrain tires, underbody protection and an increased rugged exterior.

Ram Outdoorsman was created to replace the TRX4 trim level and is available in 1500, 2500 HD and 3500 HD single rear wheel, Regular Cab Quad Cab, Crew Cab and Mega Cab, four-wheel drive and two-wheel drive and short- and long-wheelbase models.

The trim offers a RamBox on the 1500, which offers addition place to stow outdoor gear outside the truck, freeing up space for passengers inside and making it more comfortable after a long day of adventure.
