By: JuNaPa Marketing The music-oriented event, sponsored by PeeKeeper, Gardner-White Furniture, Mike Carey Music and The Magic Stick, is the group’s main fundraiser for the year. The program includes live music from local bands, as well as a silent auction and raffle. According to the event’s volunteer organizer, Jessica Wieczorek, “I want this to be a fun event that attracts animal lovers, the band’s followers, and people that hear about the event and want to come because it sounds like a good time! The benefit will support a great cause and the group’s continuous effort to rescue dogs, regardless of their breed, age or health from harmful or cruel environments.” Proceeds from the event will be used to support HomeFur-ever’ Silent auction items for the event include: $500 Gardner-White gift certificates, vacation packages, art from Detroit-area artists, a wheelbarrow of booze, and much more! Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Detroit-area bands including: Odayin, Switchblade Justice, Medicine Letter, The Starlights, Woodman, The John Davies Problem, and Front of Resistance. # # # HomeFur-ever is a Detroit-based non-profit 501(c)3 organization formed in 1983 to facilitate the rescue of animals-in-need, including: abused, abandoned, surrendered and neglected animals. HomeFur-ever is a strictly ‘no-kill’ rescue organization who is dependent upon donations and the volunteer assistance of group members and the many foster homes who help care for the rescued animals until their adoption. The group also provides educational instruction in the proper care and treatment of animals.
