FairTax Endorsement and Tax Reform Town Hall

Aug. 26, 2010 - PRLog -- Virginia Beach, VA - Kenny Golden, independent candidate for Congress, endorses the FairTax and announces a town hall meeting on tax reform:
 
 
"Our current tax system is patently unfair and unequal. The middle class and small businesses shoulder too much of the burden, while large multi-national corporations are allowed to take advantage of lobbyist made loopholes and offshore tax havens. I sincerely believe that the quickest, most efficient way to fix our system is to eliminate all Federal income taxes and transition to the FairTax, a consumption based system."
 
 
The FairTax will:

- Allow you to keep 100% of your paycheck, pension, and Social Security payments·
- Free up time wasted on filling out cumbersome I.R.S. forms
- Exempt all taxpayers from federal taxation on the purchase of basic necessities
- Dramatically lowers tax rates for low-income and middle-income Americans
- Reduces the cost of goods and services by as much as 20%
- Make American products more competitive ― domestically and overseas

Kenny will host a town hall meeting on the FairTax and other methods of tax reform at his campaign headquarters, 4314 Holland Rd, on Friday September 3rd from 6:30 to 7:30PM.  This is a great opportunity to learn about the FairTax and discuss other options with fellow citizens.
