ImageSource Achieves Platinum Level Green Business Certification

Aug. 31, 2010 - PRLog -- OLYMPIA – Olympia, WA-based ImageSource offers a proven track record of improving business processes for companies and government-agencies worldwide.  The company also chooses to focus on improving its own sustainability practices, and recently achieved the level of platinum certification through the Green Business Bureau.

ImageSource is a company that is always on the watch for ways to reduce their carbon footprint and become more environmentally friendly.  So, when the company decided to become green business certified, they looked at a variety of programs to endorse their green practices.  What they found was the Green Business Bureau, a program that was well-known and that provided a structured, attainable path to becoming green certified.

“We chose to become certified through the Green Business Bureau because of their notoriety and to show our Customer Partners that we care about our impact on the planet,” says Kristina Parma, ImageSource’s Communications Manager.  “We constantly implement processes for our Customer Partners that help them become more efficient with both time and resources, and help them save paper and we wanted an actual certification that showed we were working with a structured program to help reduce our negative impact and increase the positive.”

Parma says that ImageSource appreciated that the Green Business Bureau had various levels of certification so that there is always something to work towards.  In fact, ImageSource worked through the Green Business Bureau’s program of green business initiatives to achieve  the highest level of certification, platinum.

“The Green Business Bureau program was laid out in a way that is straight forward and easy to understand,” says Parma.  “Once we got going, it was easy to follow and know what to do next, and we were actually excited about completing each green initiative.”

ImageSource had green practices in place prior to joining the Green Business Bureau, including paper recycling, efficient lighting, carpooling and many others.  In fact, the company provides business solutions that focus on efficient processes that reduce their amount of paper and make their business processes more efficient – including solutions that allow their Customer Partners to become more paper-conscious.  Their solutions range from electronic forms, electronic workflows, document scanning, document capture, electronic storage and other paperless processes.

Moving forward, Parma says the company is looking forward to reducing its negative impact on the environment.

“We truly enjoy working with the Green Business Bureau to accomplish our goals and are looking at how we can better service our Customer Partners with our green practices,” says Parma.  “Many of our customers value the fact that we care about our impact on the environment and we are looking forward to continuing to do so.”
