WSU Hosts Photo Exhibit

WSU is hosting a photo exhibit revealing realities for Minnesota’s homeless veterans through Oct. 31.

Aug. 31, 2010 - PRLog -- Winona State University is one of the stops on a statewide tour for the photo exhibit “Portraits of Home II: Veterans in Search of Shelter in Greater Minnesota.” The exhibit will be featured through Oct. 31 on the first floor of Minné Hall.

The exhibit focuses on the day-to-day challenges of homeless military veterans. It builds upon the groundbreaking first exhibit, “Portraits of Home: Families in Search of Shelter,” which traveled through Minnesota from 2005-2007.

An opening reception will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, with remarks from Sen. Sharon Erickson Ropes and Dick Lande, Commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, at 6 p.m.

The opening reception is sponsored by the WSU Foundation.
