Businesses invited to team up with Air Ambulance

Aug. 31, 2010 - PRLog -- The Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity is encouraging more businesses to become brand partners with the launch of its business supporters network.
In return for a small annual fee, companies will be allowed to use the network logo for promotional purposes, feature on the charity’s website, and can reinforce their corporate social responsibility by supporting a recognised charity.

The independent charity operates two ambulance helicopters from Leeds Bradford International Airport and Sheffield Business Park.

The service provides a life-saving rapid response emergency service to five million people across Yorkshire.

It costs £2.65 million each year to keep the helicopters flying, equivalent to £7,200 per day.

To date, more than 3,000 patients have been carried to relevant treatment centres.

The first member to sign up to the Business Supporters Network was regional security group Select, which has offices throughout Yorkshire.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s director of fundraising Paul Gowland said: “We hope to encourage more businesses from across the region to join our Business Supporters Network in what is a simple, yet beneficial way to support our charity.”

Membership of the Yorkshire Business Supporters Network costs £100 plus VAT per annum for companies with up to 100 employees and £200 plus VAT per annum for companies with more than 100 employees.
