Model 4407 RJ45 A/B Switch with Remote Control Allows Off-Site Monitoring & Switch Control

Sept. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, announces the PathWay Model 4407 RJ45 A/B Switch with dual remote serial ports. This reliable network switch allows the user the capability of accessing two separate RJ45 ports via the COMMON port.

The Model 4407 can be switched locally by depressing the front panel pushbutton or remotely over either or both of two serial remote ports. A device connected to either of the two REMOTE ports can send the proper trigger character over an RS232 serial port to change the state of the Model 4407. Other control configurations and interfaces are available upon request, i.e. contact closure, TTL levels, etc.

The switch status can also be queried remotely without changing the switch position status. All eight pins of the A/B/COM ports are supported and switched. Switch position and continuity are maintained even in the event of a power failure.
