Leading UK Leather Bed Retailer Admits Customers Prefer Faux over Genuine Leather

Sept. 12, 2010 - PRLog -- One of the UKs leading leather bed manufacturers FauxLeatherBeds.org.uk has announced that faux leather bed sales have bypassed genuine leather bed sales due to the continuing economic slump.

One of the main differences is price, so it should not be to surprising to know that faux leather bed sales are on the rise. The average cost of a genuine leather bed is between £400 and £500, where as a faux leather bed averages between £150 and £300 for a regular double bed frame. Mr Ritchie said "We are not surprised to see consumers choose cost over quality in tough economic times, but genuine leather bed sales are down 50% whilst faux leather beds continue to rise, with a 50% increase since the start of the year".

Leather bed frames have slowly been becoming more and more popular. It wasn't even a decade ago that leather bed frames were only for the rich and affluent, but due to more advanced manufacturing techniques and contemporary living the popularity of leather bed frames is on the rise.

I would never recommend one to any of my clients though”.
