New Jersey Doctor Eliminates Ear and Eye Pain When ENT Specialists or Eye Doctor Cannot

Sept. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- People who experience pain in the ears or eyes can often be treated successfully by an eye doctor or an ENT specialist, but when these physicians can find no reason for the pain that their patient is feeling the end result is being told by the doctor that “There's nothing wrong.”  For many, these painful words just make the problems and pain that they suffer from even more difficult to cope with.  Dr. Ira Klemons Director of the Center for Headaches and Facial Pain can eliminate pain in the eyes and ears when other specialists cannot.

Similarly, there are more than 18 structures that are known to refer pain to the ear and there are a number of structures that refer pain to the eyes and sinuses.  When a structure is injured, the pain may be felt in the eyes or ears and this is the simple explanation as to why ENT specialists or eye specialists are unable to find a reason for the pain—they simple did not look in the right place.

The structures that can cause referred pain include various muscles and ligaments.  Additionally, low grade but painful infections in the jaw can also cause referred pain that is felt in the ears, eyes or sinuses.  Dr. Klemons is able to successfully eliminate the pain felt in the eyes and ears by determining which structures are at fault and helping the patient to heal.
