By: Edmund Benson, ARISE Founder This five-day intensive training certifies participants as ARISE Master Life Skills Trainers and enables them to conduct the ARISE two-day (14-hour) Life Skills Group Facilitator Training to professionally certify their staff and colleagues as ARISE Life Skills Group Facilitators. Participants develop core skills in planning and implementing ARISE life skills groups, using a positive, strength-based approach. Graduates have the knowledge and confidence to train others to help troubled youth make fundamental changes in their lives. Attendees will have at their disposal a complete library of research-based ARISE life-skills curricula, written specifically for youth with learning and behavioral deficits. These materials combine interactive lessons with true life stories guaranteed to capture the attention of even those with severe behavioral problems. HYS will implement the ARISE Life Skills Program with organizations working with at-risk youth throughout the state of Pennsylvania. ARISE will work closely with HYS to ensure the fidelity of the ARISE Life Skills Program. Harborcreek Youth Services was founded in 1911.
