Rocco Basile Children of the City Board of Directors

Sept. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- The Children of the City Annual Benefit Gala is easily one of the most exciting events of the year. Exclusive and elegant, the annual soiree features a cocktail reception, specially-crafted gourmet dinner, live band and dancing, and a dazzling silent and live auction. It is a night where supporters, celebrities and friends come together in a unique setting celebrating the significant work of Children of the City.

Guests of Children of the City will gather at the renowned Pier Sixty in support of the vital programs and services provided to at-risk children and families. For the past six years, the Benefit Gala has honored exceptional individuals whose passion for the underprivileged children of New York City has served as an inspiration for others. Each year, hundreds of guests, including professional athletes, prominent Hollywood actors, as well as noted activists and politicians come out to support Children of the City.

Since 1981 Children of the City has helped countless children break the cycle of poverty, overcome educational failure, and reverse the effects of abuse.
