Medical Lighting Systems Announces New Line of MRI-Safe LED Visual Therapy Illuminators

Sept. 21, 2010 - PRLog -- Medical Lighting Systems (MLS), a leading provider of LED illumination solutions for the Healthcare industry, today announced the launch of its MRI-safe line of LED Visual Therapy illuminators.  The Focal-Point™ and Serene-Vu™ LED-based graphic illuminators are free from electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI), making them well suited for use in MRI suites, surgical areas, recovery rooms, and other medical applications.

Focal-Point Visual Therapy Illuminators are designed to backlight graphic images in ceilings with a unique housing that is placed on top of graphic panels suspended on the T-bar grid.  Serene-Vu Visual Therapy Illuminators are designed to backlight graphic images in walls with a unique hinged side for easy graphics change-out.  Its thin profile design provides a contemporary look and meets ADA standards.  Both Focal-Point and Serene-Vu illuminators are available in a variety of sizes.

Focal-Point and Serene-Vu feature an innovative LED-Array light source from ION™ Light Engines, which provides perfectly even and diffuse illumination and utilizes low voltage, Class II power.  Remarkably thin and lightweight, MLS’ LED Illuminators are energy-efficient, ultraviolet (UV) and Infrared radiation (IR)-free, maintenance-free, and the LEDs do not interfere with magnetic resonance imaging.  Both Focal-Point and Serene-Vu illuminators may be ordered sealed to eliminate cavities where airborne bacteria and virus can be trapped.
