Carolines on Broadway Launches New Youtube Channel

Sept. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Way back in the olden days, before our modern, digital era – and by that we mean the early 1990's – Carolines on Broadway had a TV show on A&E called “Carolines Comedy Hour.” And no, unlike A&E's current crop of shows, “Carolines Comedy Hour” wasn't about a bunch of drug-addicted homicide detectives trapped in their houses by their own hoarded garbage. “Carolines Comedy Hour” was a weekly show that featured the hottest young stand ups at the time – with appearances by a Jerry Seinfeld, Lewis Black, Dave Chappelle, Kevin James, Chris Rock, Sarah Silverman, Joy Behar, the list goes on – and was such fine programing that it won a Cable ACE award for “Stand Up Series.”


“Carolines Comedy Hour” is long departed, but we have boxes of tapes lying around the office in addition to decades worth of footage of the greatest stand ups in the world. Footage that has been unreleased to the world and that you can see nowhere else. Comedy legends back when they were just beginning their careers as well as comedy greats in their prime. All of this footage and we had no where to put them or show them. And then, miraculously, God invented YouTube!


And so it is with great pride that we announce the launch of Carolines YouTube channel! And we want to make this channel enjoyable for all our patrons and viewers. Every day we'll be putting up classic clips of America's greatest stand up stars as well as brand new material from the legends in the making performing currently at Carolines ( http://www.carolines.com ).
