Sept. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Trisha Urban, a well deserving widow who has raised thousands of dollars for the American Heart Association and fights tirelessly for health care reform was chosen by the Emmy winning TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to have her crumbling log home demolished and rebuilt earlier this summer.

A series of unfortunate events all began with the sudden death of her 30 year old husband Andy who died of a heart attack the day Trisha went into labor with her daughter Cora. On that cold morning in February 2009, while Trisha was in labor, Andy, who was born with a congenital heart defect, went outside to feed the family's animals and lock the gates before leaving for the hospital. When Andy didn't return to the house, Trisha went looking for him and found Andy tragically lying dead in the snow.

Trisha's house was a 300 year old log cabin that was in desperate need of repair and renovation. On July 30th, Trisha and her family were swept off to Walt Disney World for a week of vacation while the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team demolished her crumbling house and built her a brand new beautiful home.

Because of Andy's health condition, he could not acquire adequate health insurance and the couple had considerable medical debt which upon Andy's death, fell solely on Trisha's shoulders. When Andy passed, many of the couple's assets such as the deed to the cabin and the cars were all in Andy's name and Trisha had to buy back these and other assets from Andy's Estate. With the help of Trisha's family, friends and her community, money was raised through benefit dinners, golf tournaments and similar events.  Despite all the efforts,  Trisha's mounting debt and mortgage were bringing her close to losing everything. Friends of Trisha's submitted her name and story to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and on  July 29, 2010, Trisha Urban and her 1 year old daughter,  learned that they had been chosen for an Extreme Home Makeover.

The Tile Mural Store (http://www.tilemuralstore.com) was contacted by Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to provide custom made decorative tiles for the home. Although The Tile Mural Store specializes in creating custom handcrafted multi-tile tile murals they can also produce individual accent tiles from their licensed artwork or any high quality digital image.

"I was so excited to receive the call from the Associate Design Producer for the show" said Toni, President and Founder of The Tile Mural Store. "When she asked me if I would be interested in helping a family and the show with producing the tiles I didn't hesitate to say YES. The Tile Mural Store was commissioned to produce 366 decorative accent tiles for the home. Mike, my husband and Vice-President of The Tile Mural Store and I personally made and packed each tile. It was truly a rewarding experience to be able to create something so special for Trisha, Cora and the show."

"It was so wonderful working with the show Designer's for this build and working with Amy Mescia, Owner of Oscar Design Studio (http://www.oscardesignstudio.com), who created the digital designs for the tiles. The tiles were shipped to the installers,  Malsnee Tile & Stone of Berks County in Pennsylvania (http://www.malsnee.com). Everyone I had the pleasure to speak to regarding this project was so incredibly nice and easy to work with".

"Until the show airs, we can't give out any information that would spoil the surprise for the viewers and we can't show any pictures of the tiles we created. We hope you'll watch the episode to see how the design team incorporated our tiles with the home.  Unfortunately, we couldn't personally attend the build, but the response and feedback from those who were lucky enough to be a part of the build and who have seen the tiles has been just great! We are hopeful that the tile project will receive lots of air time."

The Urban Hideaway Farm episode of the Emmy winning program, which airs Sundays, 8 pm/7pm C on ABC is schedule to air on Sunday, October 24th, 2010.
