Dodge Changes Six Vehicles on their lineup for the 2011 year

Sept. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Barry Sanders Supercenter cannot wait to see the six upgraded vehicles on the Dodge brand lineup. As we have already shown, the Charger and the Dodge Durango is making a comeback with new features and upgrades, but what other four Dodges will receive changes?

According to the Chrysler Group LLC, revisions to the Grand Caravan minivan, Journey crossover, Avenger mid-size sedan will all receive upgrades, and the Challenger will get an improved interior.

“We’ve essentially remade these vehicles from the ground up,“ the Detroit News reported Ralph Gilles said , head of the Dodge brand. “We’ve spent the last year redesigning and building the Dodge brand. Now we’re going to show customers what the future of Dodge will look like.”

The Dodge brand has improved their vehicles to be more fuel-efficient with their engines and better driving dynamics. The key areas of improvement across the lineup: new Pentastar V-6 engines, six- and eight-speed automatic transmissions and improved suspensions as well as new sheet metal to give each brand a more distinctive look.

“I was knocked out and blown away,” Carl Galeana of Van Dyke Dodge in Warren, Mich., said of the 2011 lineup, shown to about 1,700 U.S. dealers and 700 more from Canada, Mexico and international markets Tuesday in Orlando, The Detroit News said.

Areas with the most distinct upgrades were the passenger compartments changing hard plastic, unappealing interiors to high-quality materials making the interior look softer and visually appealing. The new Dodges will also feature more comfortable seats and new steering wheel looks.
