Shriners Make A Difference .com announced the launch of its “Good Always Wins Essay Contest” This contest is dedicated to empowering children & teens with positive experiences that will create their character and traits as individuals.

We are proud to introduce a character education contest. This is a no-cost program, to organizations and schools grades 4-12 in the Kansas City Metro Area. The “Good Always Wins!” essay contest is designed to allow students and instructors to actively participate and make a difference in the lives of others through supporting and encouraging kindness.

The concept is not based upon the education the student has but rather the goodness and character they possess. To encompass all students and their talents, essays can be written, photographic or video. Entries will be judged more on content then technical accuracy.

This contest was designed to raise awareness of the power of being considerate to others while underpinning existing values and programs being conducted in schools and organizations. When kindness is expressed, healthy relationships are created, community connections are nourished, and people are inspired to pass kindness on.

Introducing the “Good Always Wins!” contest is empowering. As students tap into their own generous human spirit and share kindness with one another, they discover for themselves the power of kindness to affect positive change in their lives and the lives around them.

Through the "Good Always Wins!" contest, we hope to nourish the hearts and souls of kids. We are proud to partner with the Ararat Shrine to support the organization's mission to raise compassionate, community-minded kids.

By participating in this contest, schools and organizations encourage young citizens to practice acts of kindness in every aspect of their lives.
