Sept. 28, 2010 - PRLog -- ORLANDO, FL and MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Women in eDiscovery, a non-profit organization that brings together businesswomen interested in technology related to the legal industry, announced today that it has assembled a panel of thought-leaders for an eDiscovery session at the Masters Conference. This year’s conference theme is “Litigation and Discovery in a World of Technology,” and will be held October 4-6, 2010 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C.

eDiscovery has evolved rapidly from scanning paper documents to imaging hard drives, advanced searching techniques and the use of complex discovery tools to manage data from advanced technology systems such as those involved in cloud computing. The Women in eDiscovery thought-leader panel, "eDiscovery Today, Tomorrow and in the Future," brings together the combined experiences of a Fortune 200 Corporate Counsel, the Director of eDiscovery for the Civil Division of the Department of Justice, an experienced eDiscovery attorney, and the co-founder and Executive Director of Women in eDiscovery. These female veterans of eDiscovery will discuss legal precedents, evolving practice directions, changing corporate and government procedures, and how future technology advancements may affect eDiscovery. AccessData has exclusive sponsorship of this session.

The Masters Conference brings together leading experts and professionals from law firms, corporations and the bench to develop strategies, practices and resources for managing the information lifecycle. This year’s conference will focus on how corporations can protect themselves against the risks associated with global, mobile and cloud-based opportunities and challenges. It delves into legal hold strategies, international privacy laws, high profile scandals, security breaches, IP threats, increased litigation, audits and regulatory investigations.

For the past four years, Masters Conference has partnered with Women in eDiscovery to provide speaking and educational opportunities for its members. In addition to the educational session, BBA Technical Services and kCura are sponsoring the Women in eDiscovery networking reception on October 4 in the Continental Suites.

A discount price is being offered to all Women in eDiscovery members. For more information, visit www.womeninediscovery.com. To register for the Masters Conference, go to their website at www.themastersconference.com.
