Heartland Pediatric teams with Germy Wormy® for Cold and Flu Prevention Education

Oct. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- The H1N1 Swine Flu challenge last year took a toll on pediatric doctors’ offices. “We were completely swamped and could not keep up with the volume of appointment requests. It stressed our office and made delivering quality care a challenge.” said David Kleczek, PA-C of Heartland Pediatrics in Lake Placid, FL.

David saw Germy Wormy®  on the national health television show “The Doctors” and thought that it was perfect for helping to reduce the spread of germs and illness at their pediatric practice. “Kids are the number one spreaders of germs, and we get to see that up close in our office! But it is not because they want to – they simply don’t know that they are spreading germs because germs are invisible and it is very hard to educate them on good hygiene habits.”

Heartland Pediatric, serving patients since 1999, is ready to change that by educating their patients at their open house for their new bigger location at 204 US 27 South Suite # 4 Lake Placid, FL on October 23, 2010.

They will be displaying the Germ Smarts with Germy Wormy® Poster on their walls which highlights what the children learn on the video – Germ Stoppers 5 and cough and sneeze into your sleeve.
