Follow on Google News | European Standardization Organizations renew their participation in the European Innovation SummitThe three European Standardization Organizations will demonstrate the involvement of European Standardization in innovation in fields such as ‘Efficient Energy Provision’, ‘Urban and Regional Mobility in the EU’ and ‘Electric Vehicles’.
By: Paul Reid, ETSI EIS 2010 will address Europe’s innovation challenge by exploring how Europe’s goal of becoming a global leader in innovation may be achieved and how innovation partnerships can be made successful. Attending the summit are European Parliament Members, as well as decision and policy makers from the European institutions, Agencies and Member States. CEN, CENELEC and ETSI are participating in EIS 2010 by sending European Standardization representatives: Dr Cyriacus Bleijs, chair of the CEN-CENELEC Focus Group on electric vehicles, and Mr Soeren Hess, chair of ETSI TC ITS – Intelligent Transport Systems, will be members of the panel on ‘urban and regional mobility in the EU’. Dr Ralph Sporer, chairman of the ESOs Joint Working Group on Smart Grids, will be participating in the panel ‘Efficient energy provisions’.
