Columbia Dodge Announces New and Improved Dodge Durango

Sept. 29, 2010 - PRLog -- Dodge announces that the Durango is back – and is better than ever.  The 2011 Dodge Durango will be arriving at dealerships, including Columbia Dodge dealership Dodgeland of Columbia, by the end of the year.

The 2011 Durango was built to impress.  Dodge loyalists will love the new SUV and new Dodge drivers will be impressed.  The designers behind the vehicle cut no corners as they worked to create a new driving machine, which features a new modern design both inside and out.

The Durango will be offered in two different engines, Chrysler’s new Penastar V6 and the Hemi V8.  Both engines include variable valve timing.  Rear and all-wheel drive options will be available.  

The Durango provides fuel efficiency, yet great towing capabilities.  The V-8 can tow up to 7,400 lbs. and the V-6 can tow up to a best-in-class 6,200 lbs.  Although fuel estimates haven’t been released yet, Dodge has said that the SUV will be able to go more than 500 miles without stopping to refuel!

Interior features of the Durango show drivers a whole new side of Dodge.  Interior materials are luxurious and provide comfort for the long drive.  The Durango provides seating configurations that can seat five or seven passengers with three rows of seating possible.  With 22 seating configurations possible, there are plenty of different options for optimal storage.

Safety features have been updated to include the most relevant features, including standard front seat-mounted side air bags, side-curtain air bags that cover passengers in all three rows, Blind-spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Path detection and Forward Collision Warning.

The 2011 Dodge Durango will arrive at the Columbia Dodge dealership later this year.
