Follow on Google News | Mint 400 Records Putting Together its own Label Showcase at Maxwell's Nov. 27th.With so many of the label's artists releasing brand new albums and working on fresh material this fall, Mint 400 Records has planned a hefty showcase show at New Jersey's premier venue for local music, Maxwell's.
By: Mint 400 Records The show will feature a few album releases that night, one being from The Old Glory's (newest project from Tree/former singer of Any Day Parade). The acoustic sextet will be in full form featuring all elements that typically comprise their authentic and original sounds of Americana: fiddler, stand up bass, banjo, mandolin and guitarists/percussionists. The Band will be performing new material from the untitled debut, adding to the already exiting lineup of music that evening and showcasing a themselves as a true collective talent. The label's most recently signed band, The Ones & Nines will be adding their own unique style to the evening's music. The nine member group has been making a name for themselves beyond their home-base of Jersey City with true 50's/60's retro-style R&B/soul tunes that make the most of its piano, organ, horns, guitar, and rhythm section. The band will be re-releasing material for a full-length album later this fall through Mint 400 and should no doubt be a show unto itself on a stage that will feature a wide spectrum of diverse musical acts that evening. Jesse Ian Dunn will also be slated to perform new/unreleased material as well as previously recorded material (from his last album 'The Very Best of Jesse Ian Dunn'). The show should definitely present something deeply satisfying for new listeners and devoted fans of Jesse's heartfelt songwriting as it's expected Jesse will be adding tempered instrumental accompaniment, along with great new rearrangements and reworkings of his older songs. Finally, the night will be a record release show for Fairmont as well. After taking some time off to write material for their new album 'Destruction Creation' (recorded over the course of 70 hours in a small cabin in Lynn, Pennsylvania, with no phone, no internet and no TV), Fairmont will be taking the stage in support of their first ever self-produced album; an effort that surely looks to outdo their previous 'The Meadow at Dusk' which broke into the CMJ charts last year. .....
