Oct. 5, 2010 - PRLog -- GREENVILLE, SC – Regional insurance agency, brokerage and consulting firm Rosenfeld Einstein, one of the Southeast’s fastest-growing insurance organizations, has been named as a 2010 Best Practices Agency by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) and Reagan Consulting – one of only three South Carolina firms so honored, and the only Upstate-based organization.

Simultaneously, Rosenfeld Einstein was named as a finalist for top honors in South Carolina’s Best Places to Work 2010 among companies with fewer than 250 employees, according to information compiled by SC BIZ magazine and Best Companies Group of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  This is the third time in four years that Rosenfeld Einstein has been a finalist for top honors.

Each year since 1993, the IIABA – the nation's largest independent insurance agent association – partners with Reagan Consulting, an Atlanta-based management consulting firm, to study the country’s top performing agencies.

The agencies comprising the study groups are selected every third year through a comprehensive nomination and qualifying process.  Agencies are nominated by insurance company partners, state association affiliates and other industry organizations for being among the most efficient, customer-centric and highest performing agencies in the industry, with honorees awarded the coveted Best Practices Agency designation. The selected “Best Practices” agencies retain their status during the three-year cycle by submitting extensive financial and operational data for review annually for three years.

More than 1,200 independent agencies and brokers of varying sizes were nominated for consideration in the 2010 study.  For 2010, some 224 agencies across the nation were selected, with only three from South Carolina – including Rosenfeld Einstein.

"Inclusion as a Best Practices Agency has become a prestigious recognition for the top insurance agencies in the United States and we look forward to honoring them," noted Madelyn Flannagan, IIABA vice president of agent development, education and research.

“Clearly, Rosenfeld Einstein is honored to be recognized as a Best Practices Agency, symbolic of being one of the top performing organizations in our industry,” added Dan Einstein, principal in Rosenfeld Einstein.  “This honor is a tribute to our clients, our employees and our business partners – all of whose passionate commitment to excellence drives our efforts to bring added value and insight to help them enjoy even higher levels of success and confidence.”

South Carolina’s Best Places to Work 2010 initiative is designed to identify, recognize and honor the top employers in South Carolina, with the 2010 finalist list made up of companies split into two groups: 18 small/medium sized companies (fewer than 250 employees) and 7 large sized companies (more than 250 employees).  The program is sponsored by a partnership among the S.C. Chamber of Commerce, the Society for Human Resource Management, SC Biz News and  SCJobMarket.com.

Rosenfeld Einstein was has been a finalist for top honors in two of the past three years in the small/medium company category, and attained the #3 overall position in 2007 – the highest ranking attained by any Upstate firm.

“A diverse array of companies make up the list of finalists for Best Places to Work in South Carolina 2010,” said Einstein.  “We are honored to be among the contenders, but whether we earn top honors or not, we salute all of the finalist companies for their dedication to employee growth and satisfaction.”

The survey and award program to identify the best places of employment in South Carolina was developed with 3 primary goals in mind:

•   To develop definitive information to help existing companies in South Carolina retain their workforce,
•   To promote South Carolina’s best employment opportunities to attract new workers, and
•   To distinguish businesses in the state which attract and retain talented workers.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in South Carolina. The first part consists of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics.  The second part consists of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.

“We’ve long taken pride in making Rosenfeld Einstein a place where our team wants to work, wants to further their career and feels an integral part of,” noted Einstein. “With this recognition, it appears that the environment we seek to create is being realized.  We’re very proud of all of our associates, who really make this happen, and of this recognition of the firm.”
