Oct. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- The 9 weeks of summer camp seemed to fly by even faster than last year!  We had a great time and along with returning campers, met dozens of new campers, many of them returning as students this fall. Campers worked creatively in various media such as watercolor, mosaics, clay, pastels and papier mache. They learned about creating cartoon characters, realistic landscapes, still life settings, people and animals; building 3D figures and objects, and even practiced fractions as they folded during origami!

This fall our favorite classes return with some new additions:

HELPING HANDS

SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN

We are very excited to offer this creative activity to encourage and inspire self expression while gaining new developmental skills and confidence. The classes are structured as mini-classes (limited to 6 children) for excellent guidance and assistance, instructed by a Certified Special Ed Teacher/Behavior Specialist and assisted by an Art Teacher and a Volunteer Parent. ‘OUR FAVORITE FOOD’
Multimedia “Foodworks”
Students, campers and staff members will have their artworks displayed throughout the studio. You!ll see the works of our students ages 4 thru adult... come, donate and enjoy! The works will be in various media such as watercolor, marker, pastels, clay, papier mache and more. We ask visitors to bring canned and boxed non-perishable food to
our studio which will be delivered to the Food Pantry the week following our show. Last year’s contributions were very generous and we are hoping for another great turnout.

BIRTHDAY PARTY or other GROUP ACTIVITY day approaching? We’ve got some very creative options for you! Scout parties, Ladies Nites, Fund Raisers! We have great choices to help scouts earn their badgesand learn new skills; the adults will also have a nice selection to choose from. We don’t even want to THINK about the winter, but it will be here before you know it! Once again we will be offering our WINTER ART CAMP for those of you planing a ‘staycation’ during winter break. We will keep your kids busy and engaged as they learn about and enjoy some great projects at our studio. Half day and full day options for kids ages 4-14. Limited spaces available - register early to ensure choice of placement.
