Finding Faith - Author Unveils Real Story Behind an Award Winning Christian Children's Book

Oct. 12, 2010 - PRLog -- When God calls -- it's unmistakably clear.  In the case of Greg Long, it wasn't a booming voice from Heaven; rather, it was  a series of unfortunate events that opened the door to a spiritual awakening and an unexpected children's ministry- Laugh-A-Long Books.

Greg and his wife, Sean Marie, share their inspirational story on American Catholic Radio in a interview by Living Faith Host Judy Zarick.  The Longs say, "Our experience is the driving force behind Greg's award winning children's book, Today I Found God.  We are now following Christ's call and using our talents to glorify God.

The Story Behind the Story

In 2009, Greg Long lost his job due to the economy.   Nine days later his wife, a television anchor and reporter, learned she would also be out of  job.  Topping that , she was pregnant.   Sean Marie tells Zarick, "It felt like door after door was closing."

The Longs joined the millions of  other unemployed Americans and were forced to sell their home.  Yet, in the midst of all their suffering -- they found something bigger and better -- a deeper relationship with God.

Through prayer and faith - they found their call-- to use their talents to bring kids closer to Christ.  Greg now writes children's books.  His latest release, Today I Found God was awarded a 2010 Moonbeam Children's Book Award in the category of Religion and Spirituality. Greg wrote Today I Found God during this challenging time in their lives.  The 32-page illustrated book is about a boy on a quest to find God and discover why bad things happen.


Sean Marie is now using her 15 years experience as a television journalist to produce God's Pack Videos- which are stories about real kids doing good things to help their communities and share God's love.  "Serving Up Service",  a video about kids running a lemonade stand to raise money for pediatric cancer research, is their latest release.
