By: Mopar Wholesale Mopar Economy Batteries: Any Mopar Economy Battery found to be defective in materials or workmanship will be replaced at no charge within 6 months from the date of purchase. No prorated allowance is available. This warranty is extended to the original battery purchaser only by DaimlerChrysler Motors Company, LLC. Mopar 60 and 72 Series Batteries: Mopar 60 series or Mopar 72 series battery found to be defective in materials or workmanship will be replaced at no charge within 18 months from the date of purchase. After the initial 18 months, the owner will receive a prorated allowance toward the purchase of a new Mopar replacement battery for the 60 months from date of purchase (60 Series) or for 72 months from date of purchase (72 Series), prorated on a monthly basis. This warranty is extended to the original battery purchaser only by DaimlerChrysler Motors Company, LLC. Mopar 84 Series Batteries: Any Mopar 84 series battery found to be defective in materials or workmanship will be replaced at no charge for 24 months from the date of purchase. After the initial 24 months, the owner will receive a prorated allowance toward the purchase of a new Mopar replacement battery for the 84 months from date of purchase. The allowance is based on the suggested retail price of the replacement battery at time of replacement, and the number of months remaining in the proration period. This warranty is extended to the original battery purchaser only by DaimlerChrysler Motors Company, LLC. What is Covered – All Batteries: The prorated amount will be computed by dividing the suggested retail price of the battery at the time of replacement by the number of months covered under the battery’s limited warranty period. This calculation will provide a monthly proration factor. Then multiply the monthly proration factor by the number of “in-service” calculate the number of “in-service” the date on the customer repair order or parts counter ticket) from the number of months of limited warranty coverage provided by the battery. Mopar replacement batteries installed in a Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep vehicle covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty (“Basic Warranty”) that are found to be defective in materials, are warranted for the remainder of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, or for 6 or 18 or 24 months, depending on the type battery as stated above (whichever is more favorable to the customer). A battery that fails under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty will be replaced with a Mopar battery of an equal or next highest amp-hour rating. HOW TO OBTAIN MOPAR WARRANTY SERVICE Replacement of the battery will be done by presenting the battery, together with the dealer service order or parts counter ticket for the original purchase, to any authorized Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep dealer. If the replaced battery was installed in the vehicle by a Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep dealer, and the battery is within the no charge replacement period, both the replacement battery and the labor needed to install it are covered. If the replaced battery was not installed in the vehicle by a Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep dealer, and the battery is within the no charge replacement period, only the replacement battery is covered; the labor needed to install it is not covered. It is recommended that you take your Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep vehicle to your selling dealer or to the dealer who sold or installed your Mopar battery. However, you may obtain replacement parts or service under warranty from any authorized Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep dealer. Except in an emergency, warranty service for Mopar Parts and Accessories may be obtained ONLY at an authorized Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep dealer. WHAT IS NOT COVERED Batteries that are only discharged are not considered defective. Mopar warranties do not cover any non-DaimlerChrysler Motors Company, LLC or non-Mopar parts components or equipment. These warranties also do not cover the costs of any repairs or adjustments that might be caused by, or needed because of, the use or installation of non-DaimlerChrysler Motors Company, LLC or non-Mopar parts, equipment, materials or additives. Mopar warranties do not cover the costs of repairing damage or conditions caused by fi re or accident; by abuse, negligence, or misuse (i.e., driving over curbs, or overloading or racing the vehicle); by improper adjustment, alteration or failure to maintain the vehicle on which the Mopar components or equipment are installed; or corrosion or damage caused by the use of caustic materials. Mopar Limited Warranties do not cover parts installed on a vehicle used for racing or competition, nor do they cover the repair of damage or conditions caused by racing or competition. Mopar Limited Warranties do not cover the costs of repairing or replacing any part due to damage caused by poor or improper maintenance, contaminated fuels, or the use of fuels, oils, lubricants, cleaners, or fl uids of a type other than those recommended in your owner’s manual. Mopar warranties do not cover the costs of repairing damage caused by environmental factors or Acts of God. “Environmental factors” include, but are not limited to such items as airborne fallout, chemicals, tree sap, salt, ocean spray, acid rain and road hazards. “Acts of God” include, but are not limited to, hail, fl oods, windstorms, lightning, tornadoes, sandstorms and earthquakes. Mopar warranties do not apply to parts installed on a vehicle which has had its odometer or emissions system tampered with or disconnected; loss; or is issued a certificate of title indicating that it is designated as “salvage,” DaimlerChrysler Motors Company, LLC will deny warranty coverage without notice if a vehicle is found to be ineligible for warranty coverage because it has been salvaged or declared a total loss as set forth in the above paragraph. Mopar Limited Warranties do NOT cover any incidental or consequential damages connected with the failure of the part under warranty. Such damages include lost time; inconvenience; telephone, travel or lodging; the loss of personal or commercial property; or the loss of revenue. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusions may not apply to you. Your warranties can also be restricted by DaimlerChrysler Motors Company, LLC, as set forth in the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
