With its brand new, 4,000- Franklin Commons, located at 400 Franklin Avenue in Phoenixville, is an approximately 100-year old industrial building that has had only four owners and four uses. Palma, L.P. bought the building on March 17, 2006, and after environmental remediation, it was divided into leasehold spaces and leasing commenced in 2007. Approximately one-half of the tenants are educational or quasi-educational, and occupy approximately 80% of the building. Franklin Commons offers bistro dining at the Franklin Bistro, reception and banquet facilities at the Franklin Hall and the Franklin Conference Room is available for business or community meetings. Franklin Commons was awarded 2009 Best Mixed Use Project by Philadelphia Business Journal.
