Haley Certified Center Raises Funds For 3 Great Causes

Oct. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- This Saturday, October   23, 2010 promises to be a fun filled day at the Haley Toyota Certified Sales Center at 8301 Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond VA. "Our dealership is very active in supporting local causes in our community" says Bill Simmons, the General Manager of the dealership. The dealership will have activities on Saturday to raise funds and awareness for 3 causes.

The dealership will host local radio station 102.1 The X who will be selling pink Elliot in the Morning t-shirts. The t-shirts with Elliot's famous phrase "Smell My Face" logo are a hit with faithful followers of the morning drive time radio program.  All of the proceeds from the sale of the shirts will be donated to the Susan B. Komen foundation for breast cance research.

"We are also involved in a food drive in partnership with the Central VA Food Bank" Mr Simmons explains. The dealership is accepting food donations and also funds to support the needy in the Richmond metro area.

"We are also delighted to be involved with the Save The Byrd Foundation to raise awareness and funds for the restoration of the Byrd Theatre." This is a cause that is very close to the heart for Mr. Simmons. "The Byrd is the very first movie theater that I remember my parents taking me to view the first run movies. My family spent quite a few Sunday afternoons at The Byrd watching movies" The Byrd Theater is one of only 4 remaining local movie houses left standing and operating in the country. Local artist Daniel Pritchett will be here offering prints of his beautiful Byrd Theatre painting. These prints have been a hit for local movie fans who like Mr. Simmons, want to keep The Byrd open for business.

October is also Car Care Month at the Haley Toyota Certified Center. The service department will be offering a free 27 point inspection of your vehicle. You will be provided a written estimate of any items that we find that need to be repaired on your vehicle. "We will be offering a 10% discount on thise repairs in order of Car Care month" explains Allen Wines, the service department manager at the Haley Toyota Certified Center.

You can even go home with your Halloween pumpkin as our Toyota parts department manager has ordered 2 crates of pumpkins that will be offered for sale.
