The use of natural and organic products is closely related to the latest international trends for a healthier and environmentally friendly lifestyle.  In response to the opportunities offered by this market in Bulgaria, the specialized exhibition Bio & Eco Expo 2010, will be held for the first time under  the patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). The Exhibition will be held for four days in NDK, Sofia, Bulgaria from 17 to 20 November 2010.

The Organizers Via Expo and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, totally committed to the topic, aim at promoting in Bulgaria the use and consumption of  eco and organic products which, in comparison with the conventional ones are healthier, more delicious, friendly towards environment and biodiversity. The participants will benefit from the experience of the organizers which will contribute to fully meet their expectations - establishment of direct contacts between producers, importers, owners of processing facilities, distributors, wholesale and retail warehouses, retail drugstores, pharmacies, food chains, hotels, restaurants, spa centres, farmers and end-customers.

Bio & Eco Expo 2010 provides an opportunity to expand market positions and is an effective means of imposing new products.  The Expo has provoked great interest for participation among companies with relevant activities and the participants will show a wide variety of organic food, beverages, cosmetics, baby products, biodegradable packaging and fertilizes.

The visitors will see on display organic yogurt without additives and preservatives with natural sugar - tastes of black currant  and elderberry; new organic fruit drinks, chocolate and cereals, biocoffee from Top Group.

Producers who are interested in certification services, will be able to get direct answers to questions of interest to them from QC&I International Services.

The purity of water used in pharmacy, electronics, wine and  soft drinks production and  other industries,  is an important indicatior and the technique to achieve it,  will be presented by Nicole - N.

The production of honey and bee products is very popular in Bulgaria and visitors will get acquainted with it by Gerada – GM Ltd.

Golden Apple Ltd. offers three microalgae - AFA from Klamath Lake, chlorella and spirulina, enzymes and probiotics, stem cells.

Despite the difficulties - gaps in legislation, lack of awareness and low consumers’ income, most of the participants in the exhibition share their positive expectations for the development of this sector, taking into consideration the increasing global demand, as well as the strong position of Bulgara in the export of similar goods.
