I have suffered with constipation since I was a child. I hated when I felt the fullness in my stomach, because that meant in a day or so, I was going to have seat on that toilet seat for half an hour. It was horrible. Constipation is considered when you have bowel movements fewer than three times a week over a long period of time. Some other signs include when the stool is hard, dry or there is excessive straining. The stool can often be described as “rabbit pellets," these look like the size of marbles in a bunch. This of course, is NOT healthy! Everyone should have a bowel movement at least once each day. Going once a day helps eliminate all foods and toxins through your colon. Constipation may come from a lack of fiber and water, not enough exercise, aging, and/or poor diet. PMS and pregnant women may also suffer from constipation, but the most common cause is usually from your diet.
