Delcam Hosts A Three-day International Summit, Delcam “asian Technical Summit” (ats) 2010

Oct. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Delcam plc, the world’s leading developer and supplier of CAD/CAM solutions for the design, manufacture, inspection and reverse engineering of complex shapes and tooling hosted a three day annual Asian Technical Summit 2010 to share the latest developments of the company with industry analysts, media personnel from across various countries and customers in Pune.  The Summit was inaugurated on 19th October 2010 at the Westin Hotel, Pune

The Summit started with the Lighting of the Traditional Lamp function at 7pm followed by the Key Note speech by Mr. Clive Martell, Managing Director, DELCAM and Mr. Vineet Seth, MD, India and Middle East for DELCAM.  This summit also coincided with the 10th Anniversary celebrations of DELCAM’s Indian operations.

This year’s meet which was sponsored by HP and DMG/Seiki and supported by Haas, was the tenth in the series and the first to be held in India.  The summit was attended by over 100 journalists, delegates from across 11 countries across Asia.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Vineet Seth, MD India and Middle East, DELCAM said, “I am immensely pleased that the 10th Delcam Asian Technical Summit has been organised in India this year, coinciding with the 10th Anniversary of Delcam India's establishment. Delcam India team has grown from a small number of three in the year 2000 - to over 125  - most of whom are longstanding associates,  in 14 offices across India  in 2010. Our continued double digit Y-O-Y growth in India re-confirms the growing economy in the manufacturing sector, and I am hopeful that we will break all our previous performance records."

DELCAM is pleased to announce that the company achieved a record six-month sales and increased profits during the first half of 2010.  Sales increased by 12% over the same period of last year to £18.1 million, while pre-tax profits were substantially higher at £1.1 million, an improvement of approximately £790,000 on the first half of last year.
