Green Drinks November: A Fishy Tale about Seafood in Ireland

Oct. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Hosted by Leafliving.com, Green Drinks Dublin is a free event that brings people together every month – not only ecowarriors, not only the hardcore carbon neutrals, just regular people who care about being a little greener.

In 2012 the EU will publish a reformed Common Fisheries Policy and it is essential that this puts the environment first if the last fish in the sea is not to be fried and battered.

On Tuesday the 2nd of November, Dublin Green Drinks presents the Chairman of the Irish Wildlife Trust, Pádraic Fogarty, to talk about his experience as part of a European campaign to transform how our fish are caught

The IWT is a national, membership-based conservation charity which aims to increase awareness of wildlife in Ireland and its importance to people and the environment. It manages nature reserves, carries out research, and advocates for more wildlife friendly government policy but most importantly it engages with its members through wildlife-oriented events and its quarterly publication ‘Irish Wildlife’.
