By: Ellie Schwartz World troubadour & singer-songwriter Charley Groth headlines the show at a special folk concert on Friday, October 29th, 7:30 p.m., at the Center for Spiritual Living Tampa, 4600 E. Busch Blvd. in Tampa. Charley performs from his all-star eclectic repertoire which includes swing-based jazz, Western swing, country, folk and roots music of all kinds. Master of the guitar, dobro, upright bass, mandolin, autoharp and piano. Charley is poised to deliver the type of performance that has made him a much sought-after act all over the world, from the British Isles to Australia, Norway, the Czech Republic and the Fiji Islands, as well as throughout the United States. Featured as Groth’s special guest will be Jesse Sam Owens, known for his amazingly innovative and lightning-fast flatpicking technique. Owens’ “Harmonica Joe” Reina, wizard of the blues harp, Carl Wade on guitar, and Doug Travers on bass will round out the main program.
