Operation Peace Of Mind Welcomed The Honorable Peter Obi At Banquet And Fundraiser

Oct. 28, 2010 - PRLog -- LEWISVILLE, TX — Operation Peace of Mind (OPM) hosted the annual “Taste of Anambra State & Taste of Texas” event on Saturday, August 7 at the Doubletree Hotel in Addison. The evening’s event raised funds for youth leadership, mentoring, and crime prevention programs throughout the DFW Metroplex. OPM welcomed over 200 guests including community leaders, professionals, educators, prospective students, and executives of businesses in the Metroplex.

The Honorable Peter Obi, Governor of Anambra State Nigeria, attended and addressed attendees, including youth participants of OPM’s youth movement, as part of the event festivities. Other dignitaries in attendance were City Mayors, Lewisville Police Chief and Lewisville Judge

Operation Peace of Mind express gratitude for the commitment to those helping make the event possible. Event hosts included BBVA Compass Bank, Amazing Grace Health, SecureWorld and the Addison Doubletree Hotel.  

OPM is dedicated to showing youth the positive things they can attain if they commit to living crime free. OPM helps youth develop self-esteem, leadership, and citizenship skills by providing information that motivates them to live as responsible citizens in the community. When youth complete the entire one year program, remains crime free and enters into college he/she will be eligible for a “Crime Free” Scholarship.
