Natasha Blasick To Attend Brando Premiere

Nov. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Ukrainian born actress Natasha Blasick will attend the world premiere of Brando Unauthorized, the first feature about Marlon Brando, on Nov, 9 in Los Angeles, CA. Blasick plays the role of Anna Kashfi, Brando's first wife and mother of Christian Brando. The film is directed by and stars Damian Chapa as Brando.

Damian Chapa has previously released bio pics about embattled director Roman Polanski and chess legend Bobby Fischer, directing and starring in both movies. Brando Unauthorized is purported to focus less on the details of the famed actor's career in exchange for a deeper examination into family dynamics. The movie delves into abusive parenthood, promiscuity, alcoholism and abuse that is said to be based on documents in the public domain

"It was a real challenge playing a living person", says Natasha Blasick about taking on the role of Anna Kashfi who is reported to reside in San Diego. "It was uncanny how much we looked alike when I put on the  sari. She was really Irish but pretended to be Indian. The biggest challenge for me was embodying the violence of the relationship she had with Marlon. She really loved him and could go to great depths to get what she needed. Marlon Brando must have been really magnetic for her to have used Christian as a bargaining chip in their relationship."

Blasick has not seen any footage and will experience the finished film for the first time at the red carpet premiere. "I'm ready to have a great evening" says Blasick.

The premiere of Brando Unathorized will take place at the Majestic Crest Theater in the Westwood area of Los Angeles, CA at 7:30pm. Brando Unauthorized also stars Rico Chapa as Christian Brando.
