Nov. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Are you Tired of that Dirty Roof?  So was All American Pressure Cleaning.  After seeing and hearing the need for a professional roof cleaning company in the Savannah area, AAPC decided to make the investment in the equipment to properly and safely clean asphalt shingles.  All American offers a safe, low pressure roof cleaning process for most roofing surfaces. The majority of homes in Savannah, Georgia are roofed with standard asphalt roofing shingles. The shingles look great initially but over time become discolored and streaked. The discoloration and streaking is not dirt. It is in fact algae that is growing on the roof surface.

Typical Roof Cleaning Questions:

Will the roof cleaning process damage my landscaping?
No!  Our cleaners are non-caustic and safe for grass, shrubs, pets and people.  While very effective in killing all the algae and removing all the pollutants that cause the black streaks, our detergents are diluted to such a point that they will have no impact on your landscaping.  We also pre-wet all greenery and water throughout the process.

Will cleaning my roof damage the shingles?
When the wrong methods are used,  the answer yes.  The main culprit of roof-cleaning damage is high-pressure, that is why you hire a trusted company that uses a low-pressure system - NOT PRESSURE!

So, how do you clean my roof without causing damage?
By using low pressure methods recommended by the shingle manufacturers themselves.  The Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association, Owens Corning and GAF have all suggested cleaning methods and solutions to safely clean roofs suffering from roof algae.  They recommend using a low pressure chemical application by a low pressure rinse.

How long will my roof stay clean?
Our roof cleaning process produces amazing results that will last several years.  It is very possible that your roof will become stained again due to the nature of our climate and the same algae-producing conditions still exist - airbourne algae spores, moisture on certain slopes of the roof and the limestone shingle filler.  We also coat every roof with our exclusive Mildew Preventative Treatment to help prolong the cleaning process.

Can you just clean off the few, black streaks on my roof?
We have found that Spot Cleaning is ineffective and unsightly.  The minor stains or streaks on your roof indicate the roof has lost its ability to fight off the algae - the stains will begin to spread as the humidity increases.

Only one side of my roof has black streaks, can you clean just one side?
YES!  That is what we do for most of our customers.
