myProduct™ Development Challenge at UROC

Nov. 10, 2010 - PRLog -- The Business Technology Center (B-Tech) at the University of Minnesota’s Urban Research Outreach/Enrichment Center (UROC) has taken on a model similar in my view to Bill Gates “Banking the Unbanked” or “Meaningful Broadband.”  With close attention to detail, the B-Tech Center at UROC has been the leader in commitment and blazing a trail for unique community engagement at all levels for all community members to participate in closing the digital divide.

On November 1st through the 15th, the B-Tech Center at UROC started a variety of Global Entrepreneur Workshops (GEW), focused and targeted on engaging the youth in the Minneapolis public school system.  Workshops include, “Are you a Hip-Hop Mogul? Music Moguls – Step up your game, Clean Tech @ B-Tech – Helping small business “Go Green,” myProduct™ Development Challenge -Become a Creator of Value, Entrepreneurial Entrées -Creating young restaurateurs. Workshops are free and open to the public.

The Business & Technology Center (B-Tech Center) is a new expansion of the Office for Business & Community Economic Development (BCED).
