Natasha Blasick on the Red Carpet for Brando Unauthorized

Nov. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Actress Natasha Blasick attended the premiere of Brando Unauthorized, a film by actor/director Damian Chapa, on Tuesday, Nov. 9  at an overflow event that was forced to turn away a throng of supporters when the theater hit capacity. The Ukranian born Blasick, who wore a skin tight Guess dress, appeared sober and calm in contrast to the character she plays in the film. The screening was hosted at the Majestic Crest Theater in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The red carpet, buzzing with stars and lights, saw Blasick ushered through a line of photographers and giving a series of interviews. There was a palpable sense that this movie is going to cause a stir. The iconic subject of the bio pic generated the numerous conversations overheard about the tragedy and triumphs of a Hollywood legend.

"This was the first time I've played a real living person", says Blasick on portraying Anna Kashfi, Marlon Brando's first wife. "It was a real challenge going to the dark places of violence and abuse that are in this amazing film".

The event was a fundraiser for PS I Love You a charity benefitng at risk children. Blasick says "This film illustrates what can happen when family support systems are not in place. PS I Love You is a wonderful charity".

Brando Unauthorized, the first feature film about the life of Marlon Brando, hits theaters and video in 2011.
