BioPoint announces range of replacement and spare glass plates for electrophoresis equipment

Nov. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- BioPoint, The Cambridge based Life Sciences Company today announced that it had entered into an agreement with Fine Glass Finishers in the UK. The agreement covers products used in protein and nucleic acid electrophoresis.
BioPoint will now offer a range of several hundred precision glass plates for most makes and model of electrophoresis system including Bio-Rad, Hoefer, Scie-Plas, ABI, Gibco BRL, NextGen, Li-Cor and Cleaver.
In addition to the range of standard products the company will offer both non standard spare and replacement electrophoresis glass plates for generic systems. The company has announced that any non standard glass plates can now be quoted for.
The range of spare and replacement electrophoresis plates extends to include plain, hipped and notched plates with and without bevelled edges and spacers. All common designs and sizes are now available from BioPoint.  
Fine Glass Finishers has been supplying an extensive range of products to the scientific community for more than 20 years and provides products for many leading companies around the world.  
The relationship with BioPoint is designed to offer a broader range of options directly to life scientists who are keenly aware that costs need to be reduced while quality needs to be maintained.
BioPoint is also offering a single plate service for customers who simply need to replace a single glass plate for an electrophoresis system which is not commonly available elsewhere. In other words, there are no minimum pack sizes for this replacement scientific glass service.
