Follow on Google News | Shoppers Stop! The new Google website for on-line fashion retail. The new fashion retail experience from Google. The overview, features and our perspective.
So you think you’ve seen enough digital shopping web sites? Well, hold on to the string for a major entrant who would cater to the women only. And that too, towards their fashion needs niche. This idea was put into play by the computer and fashion ‘gurus’ at Google teaming up to provide a realistic fashion clothing experience. They call it boutiques.com. Our London based digital design agency thinks there are foreseen uppers and downers with regards to a business like this. Women would not be looking for reviews and specs while considering a buy. What they seek while purchasing is its appeal towards them i.e. it’s design element. This provision can be easily acquired while physically shopping at a store. But having to buy the same product online can be a different ball game. The idea came upon at Google due to its rigidity of reach and the creative minds set out to defy its ways. Described as a new way of shopping online, Google said in a statement: “We’re excited to share with you our first step towards realising this goal. It’s called Boutiques.com: The site can be summed up by saying that choice is considered a prime matter when shopping here. So say if there are ten thousand items in a store, the combinations in proportion could be innumerable. Due to its gigantism, the web site was created in collaboration with various fashion designers from different styling backgrounds by taking into account their likes and dislikes and what the store should display for sales maximisation. The web site, which then takes these points of views from the designers into consideration and builds algorithms and memorises the same; then provides aid to shoppers by enabling inventory that was chosen by a specific designer, also provides top 50 items they have hand-curated. Not to worry though, ladies who want to create their own custom style statements are provided a fresh page to do so with an added benefit of recommendations that come along while you create your perfect match. All in all, a shopping experience closest matched to what you would otherwise do while travelling through traffic and looking for a parking space. The website is live now but available to the United States for women fashion only. However, expansions are expected soon.
