NBLSA's National CSD Director Returns from the 2010 National Black Pre-Law Conference

NBLSA's National Director of College Student Division, Mr. Robert Elliott II, has returned from the Sixth Annual National Black Pre-Law Admissions & Preparation Conference and Law School Recruitment Fair in Houston, TX.
 
Nov. 26, 2010 - PRLog -- Washington, D.C. (November 15, 2010) -NBLSA's National Director of College Student Division, Mr. Robert Elliott II, has returned from the Sixth Annual National Black Pre-Law Admissions & Preparation Conference and Law School Recruitment Fair in Houston, TX. Mr. Elliott served as a panelist on the "Life as a Black Law Student: Coping with the Additional Burdens of Racism and Prejudice, and Ways to make Positive Contributions in the Law School Environment and Legal Work Setting" panel.

Mr. Elliot shared the following insight about the conference: "The National Black Pre-Law Conference was an amazing event and a wonderful experience. I definitely feel that the College Student Division's goal of reaching out to and educating pre-law minorities about law school was accomplished with certainty. The students' enthusiastic reception, as well as the engaging dialog during the panel discussion, was a wonderful surprise. Seeing hundreds of pre-law minorities take the first steps toward pursuing their dream of attending law school solidified my belief in the College Student Division's mission and my determination of its success."

The event took place on Thursday, November 11, 2010 through Sunday, November 14, 2010. The University Center at The University of Houston's Main Campus hosted this year's conference. The National Black Pre-Law Conference & Recruitment Fair is the nation's premier information-sharing and networking empowerment event for aspiring Black lawyers.

NBLSA is the largest student-run organization in America and has approximately 200 chapters at law schools throughout the country. This represents almost every ABA accredited law school, plus several non-accredited law schools. These chapters represent nearly 6,000 Black law students in six regions that encompass 48 states including Hawaii and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Recently, NBLSA has established an international connection with Black law students in Canada, England, South Africa, and the Bahamas who have decided to model their student organizations after NBLSA.
