Follow on Google News | A exclusive with Bo Deal. "I keep it real for my people"An exclusive interview with Bo Deal from Chi town.
By: Shaya's Media Group Bo Deal: I started putting effort in 2004 to be exact. Shaya: Where were you born? Bo Deal: Chi Town all day! I reps my people because my people rep me. Don’t get me wrong, I am known coast to coast and if I’m with you I’m with you real talk. Shaya: Does your hood influence your music? Bo Deal: That’s who I do it for, it’s all hood influenced. You see so much negative that you want to change so I just write about it. Shaya: Who are some of the artist that you would like to work with? Bo Deal: Lil Wayne most def, I ain’t into the wipe me downs, I like artist that has substance to them not just party music but ummm I say Jay Z and Drake to name a few. Shaya: In the beginning what was your rap game about? Bo Deal: It was about wasting time to get through the day. I was locked up but I made the most out of making my time go faster but once I started even the prison guards was feeling my music so I kept it going. Shaya: What do you look for in a record deal? Bo Deal: well to keep it 100, I had offers already but none of those deals were structured properly but right now it’s about feeding family. I am not looking to jump on a deal. I’d rather be broke without a deal than broke with one real talk. Shaya: Do you have any suggestions for new artist? Bo Deal: The #1 thing is to have your business in order and you gotta have great lawyers. Don’t look for a quick come up. If you not going to grind, this game is not for you. You have to work for this. If you don’t work you don’t eat. Shaya: What was your childhood like? Bo Deal: I was the man of the house at a early age my dad was not around so I hustled hard to help my mom and it made me make it easier for my mom. My mom stayed straight. Shaya: After going through being the head of household at an early age did that stop you from wanting to be a father? Bo Deal: I am a father, I enjoy being a parent. I will never be a dead beat dad! I’m true to this. Shaya: How has it been for you with Mizay Entertainment? Bo Deal: Mizay got that fire! Deb and the Mizay team gets all my love! We have so much coming up together it's bananas! # # # Shaya's Media Group (SMG) formed in 2009 in the heart of New York City. The SMG team helps form the image of media. End
