Meet Cartier Kitten, a 19-year-old Delaware native who’s now the first lady of the Brick Squad movement (Waka, Gucci Mane, Frenchie and Wooh Da Kid). Her first major look came last month on Waka’s Lex Luger-produced hit “Snakes In The Grass”
After years of honing her mic and pen skills through local talent shows and various musical competitions, Cartier decided to move to New York upon graduating from high school. She was discovered by “Aunt Deb” earlier this year at a Florida music conference. “I remember seeing this pretty girl in the crowd with this blonde Mohawk and just had to meet her,” Deb recalls. “Then she freestyles for me and I immediately knew her potential was incredible and that she was the missing link in my company.”
Having signed with Mizay in recent months, Cartier has now relocated from New York to Atlanta to start the next chapter in her career. She cites diverse artists such as Alanis Morissette, Tupac Shakur and Stevie Nicks as her inspirations and her genre-defying sound will be heard for the first time when her debut mixtape is released in coming months
