Follow on Google News | Rebranded System Helps Master-batchers Improve Colour MeasurementKonica Minolta Sensing has rebranded and relaunched their successful Colibri colour matching product range.
Users believe it has proven to be the most accurate system available, and provides a one-stop colour management solution that can be tailored to specific client applications within the plastics, paints and printing industries. It also enables cost savings through identifying a range of matching options together with their relative cost and performance, and optimises pigment loading to achieve the required level of opacity. This offers considerable cost savings and also limits the impact on the environment. Konica Minolta Sensing’s UK General Manager Paul Bowman said: “Colibri’s level of performance is achieved by using a unique multi-flux algorithm to match colour and opacity at the same time. “This offers considerable improvements over the older mathematics employed in other systems, and is why Colibri has been so well received in the pigment based industries for non-opaque samples like plastics, coatings and inks.” The product range consists of three modules for colour matching, used for recipe prediction and correction; colour quality, to improve quality control in labs and production facilities; and colour tinting, for dispensing in production or at point of sale. Konica Minolta Sensing Europe BV offers a wide range of high-accuracy instruments for measuring colour and light to contribute to maintaining and improving product quality in a variety of industries. They are also active in the medical sector, and in the field of 3D form digitization.
